Ciao and hello! Whether you're flying in from London, Manchester, Milan or Rome, 2026 is a huge year to visit Disneyland Paris. A brand-new park name, an entire land inspired by Frozen, a drone-filled night show and fresh rules at the border... there's a lot that's changed. Here's everything UK and Italian families should know before the magic begins, plus the easiest way to get from the airport to the castle without stress.

1. The second park has a new name: Disney Adventure World

Forget "Walt Disney Studios Park". On 29 March 2026 it officially became Disney Adventure World. So if your old guidebook or a friend talks about "the Studios", it's the same gate, just a whole new look. Built around it is Adventure Bay, a 7.5-acre lake at the heart of the park, and Adventure Way, a leafy promenade with themed gardens and a long list of new places to eat (opening gradually through the year).

2. Let it go... to World of Frozen!

The star of 2026 is World of Frozen, a full recreation of the kingdom of Arendelle. Look up and you'll see the 36-metre North Mountain topped by Elsa's Ice Palace. Inside you'll find:

  • Frozen Ever After - a boat ride through Elsa and Anna's story
  • A Celebration in Arendelle - a joyful daytime show on the fjord
  • Meet Anna and Elsa in the royal castle

Good to know: meeting Anna and Elsa uses a virtual queue in the Disneyland Paris app, subject to availability. Download the app before you travel and check it as soon as you arrive in the morning.

3. A night show with 380+ drones

For the first time, the second park has its own daily nighttime spectacular: Disney Cascade of Lights over Adventure Bay, mixing more than 380 drones, flames and water screens. Over in Disneyland Park, Disney Tales of Magic lights up Sleeping Beauty Castle. Tip for little ones: pack a warm layer and, if you have a long evening ahead, a private ride back to your hotel makes the end of the night much easier for sleepy children.

4. Raiponce Tangled Spin is a winner for younger kids

Also on Adventure Way, Raiponce Tangled Spin (Raiponce is Rapunzel's French name!) is a gentle spinning family ride with lantern-themed fun. Perfect for toddlers and grandparents alike.

5. Coming next: The Lion King and Up

Construction is underway on the world's first Lion King themed area and attraction, with a big water-based ride, and an Up-themed flying carousel is on the way too. No official opening dates yet, which means one thing: another excuse to come back!

6. Fun facts to share in the queue

  • There's a real dragon living under the castle. Head down into La Tanière du Dragon beneath Sleeping Beauty Castle - it's one of a kind among Disney parks.
  • Paris has rides you won't find anywhere else, like Crush's Coaster, Phantom Manor, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril and Les Mystères du Nautilus.
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror now has three different storylines, so you never know which drop you'll get.
  • Italian visitors, this one's for you: Casa Giulia, a two-storey Italian restaurant, is set to open in Disney Village by the end of 2026. And Pizzeria Bella Notte in Fantasyland is named after the famous spaghetti scene in Lady and the Tramp.
  • Disney Village is also home to the largest McDonald's in France, opened in early 2026.

7. Christmas 2026: Frozen joins the fun

Disney Enchanted Christmas runs from 7 November 2026 to 6 January 2027. Expect Mickey's Dazzling Christmas Parade, the tree-lighting ceremony in Town Square, snowfall several times a day, a New Year's Eve celebration on 31 December and, for the first time, a wintry Arendelle with a special Anna and Elsa moment on the fjord. Santa meetings use the app's virtual queue, so plan ahead. Christmas is peak season: book your airport transfer early to lock in your ride.

8. UK visitors: the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES)

Since the UK is outside the EU, British passport holders now go through the EU Entry/Exit System. On your first entry you'll scan your passport at a kiosk, have a photo taken and give fingerprints (children under 12 just need a photo). It doesn't need pre-registration, and your record lasts three years, so later trips are quicker.

  • Allow extra time at passport control when landing at Charles de Gaulle (CDG) or Orly.
  • Check your passport: it should be less than 10 years old and valid for at least 3 months after your return date.
  • ETIAS (the online travel authorisation) is not yet required. It's expected to launch later, with a grace period, so you don't need it for trips right now. Always check official government advice before you go.

Why this matters for your transfer: border queues can be unpredictable. With a Best Paris Cab private transfer, your driver tracks your flight and waits for you in arrivals with a name sign, so a slow passport line won't cost you a missed train or a stressful taxi hunt.

9. Italian visitors: easy entry, smart arrival

Good news: as EU citizens, Italian travellers don't go through EES. Bring a valid passport or Italian ID card (carta d'identità) for every family member, including children. Many flights from Milan, Rome, Naples, Venice, Bologna and other Italian cities land at CDG, Orly or Beauvais. Beauvais in particular is far from Disneyland, so a pre-booked door-to-door transfer saves you buses, trains and luggage juggling.

10. How to get to Disneyland Paris the easy way

Trains and shuttles work, but with children, buggies and suitcases, changes and crowds quickly drain the magic. A private transfer with Best Paris Cab gives you:

  • Meet & greet in arrivals and help with your bags
