Planning a trip to Disneyland Paris this autumn? Since Saturday 17 October 2026, central Paris has had large demonstrations on weekends, with road closures and heavy traffic around the main protest routes. The good news for families heading to the parks: Disneyland Paris is about 32 km east of the city centre, and a well-planned private transfer from CDG, Orly or Beauvais doesn't need to drive through central Paris at all.

This guide covers what the Saturday protests mean for your trip, which journeys they affect, and how a licensed VTC chauffeur gets you to the park, your hotel or your flight safely and on time.

Paris Saturday Protests 2026: What Visitors Need to Know

Since mid-October, cost-of-living and student demonstrations have drawn large crowds in central Paris on Saturdays. The marches have mostly been peaceful, but they bring:

  • Road closures and diversions around the main squares and boulevards on the march routes
  • Metro stations closed along the route, sometimes at short notice
  • Heavy traffic in the city centre from late morning until evening
  • A large police presence and security perimeters

For most visitors, this means extra delays inside Paris itself, not a reason to cancel. The trick is choosing a route and a transport option that keeps you away from the protest zones.

Is Disneyland Paris Affected by the Protests?

Disneyland Paris is in Marne-la-Vallée, outside the city and away from the central marches. Families travelling straight from an airport to the parks or the Disney hotels can usually avoid central Paris completely:

  • CDG → Disneyland Paris: our drivers take the Francilienne ring road (A104) to the east of Paris. You never enter the city. About 40 minutes.
  • Orly → Disneyland Paris: south-eastern motorways (A86 / N104 and A4) that stay out of the centre. About 50 minutes.
  • Beauvais → Disneyland Paris: outer motorways and ring roads, about 1 h 15 min.

Public transport is a different story. A trip on the RER A from central Paris to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy can involve station closures, crowds and changes with luggage and tired children. A door-to-door private transfer removes all of that.

Tip: on protest days, check the official announcements from the Paris Préfecture de Police for the day's routes and closures. Our team does this before every Saturday pickup.

Travelling to or from Central Paris on a Saturday? Read This

If your hotel is in central Paris, or you're catching a train at Gare du Nord or Gare de Lyon on a Saturday, plan a little extra:

  1. Book in advance (at least 12 hours ahead) so we can plan your route around the day's closures.
  2. Allow extra time for flights and trains. We suggest leaving 30–45 minutes earlier than usual on protest Saturdays.
  3. Travel in the morning where you can. Marches usually start around midday, so earlier pickups are smoother.
  4. Keep your phone on. Your driver may message you on WhatsApp with an alternative pickup point near your hotel if a street is closed.
  5. Choose a Disney hotel or a Val d'Europe hotel for park days. You'll be outside the city and away from the disruption.
